The Heart of England Way

A 100-mile waymarked route from Cannock Chase in Staffordshire to Bourton-on-the-Water — terminating at one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds.

About

Established in the 1970s by the Heart of England Way Association, the path connects Cannock Chase in Staffordshire to Bourton-on-the-Water, passing through Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden and Chipping Campden along the way. The final stretch joins the Cotswold Way north of Chipping Campden.

The path is well-waymarked with its distinctive yellow circular discs. Most through-walkers take eight to nine days; many do it in shorter sections, with the Cotswold leg (Stratford to Bourton) the most popular for visitors.
