About
Built between 1936 and 1940 by craftsmen using the same Cotswold limestone as the village itself, the Model Village is a faithful 1:9 replica of Bourton — including a model of the model, recursively, in the model's own garden.
It is the only model village in the United Kingdom to be Grade II listed in its own right. Allow about 30 minutes to wander the lanes; children love spotting the miniature versions of shops still trading nearby.
