About
Older than Stonehenge in places, the Rollrights span more than two millennia: the Whispering Knights are the remains of a Neolithic burial chamber from around 3800–3500 BC; the King's Men stone circle dates to around 2500 BC; the lone King Stone, from the early Bronze Age, stands across the road.
Unlike many ancient sites in Britain, the Rollrights are open at any hour and are usually very quiet. A folk tradition holds that the stones cannot be counted twice with the same result. They cannot.
