The Wardens' Way

A 14-mile walking route from Bourton-on-the-Water to Winchcombe, designed by the wardens of the Cotswolds National Landscape.

About

Designed by the AONB wardens in the 1970s as a one-day or weekend walk linking two of the loveliest villages in the North Cotswolds. The route runs from Bourton-on-the-Water through the Slaughters, Naunton, Guiting Power and the Cotswold Farm Park, ending at Winchcombe — beneath the slopes of Sudeley Castle.

A comfortable two days at a relaxed pace, or a long day for stronger walkers. Together with the Windrush Way, the two routes form a complete circuit, allowing you to walk out one way and back the other.
