The Bath Half is one of Britain's oldest and largest mass-participation half marathons — 12,000 runners each year on a fast, flat two-lap loop starting in the Great Pulteney Street area, winding through the Georgian centre past the Royal Crescent, and running out along the River Avon to the west of the city.
The 2027 edition takes place on Sunday 14 March 2027. Start is 11am; expected finish window is early afternoon. Bath's city centre and much of the surrounding road network is closed to traffic between 8am and 4pm — plan accommodation or day trips accordingly.
For non-runners, the atmosphere along the course is one of the best in the UK for a road race — informal cheer stations, live bands and pubs open early. The main entry ballot opens in autumn 2026; charity places available through the day.
