About
Cheltenham's mid-December fixture (formerly the International Meeting, renamed the Christmas Meeting from 2023) runs on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December 2026. The flagship race is the December Gold Cup — a Premier Handicap Chase over 2m 4f 127y on the Old Course, with 17 fences — traditionally drawing continental horses alongside the home fleet.
Alongside the Gold Cup, a full Graded card on both days. Cheltenham gets festive in December — mulled wine at the Guinness Village, live carols in the parade ring, and a big-screen finish to warm the crowds. Under-18s free with an adult.
