DESCRIPTION:Randwick Wap is a spring revival of a Cotswold custom recorded 
 from at least the 17th century. Held on the first Saturday in May — Saturd
 ay 1 May 2027 — the day starts with the newly-elected 'Mayor of Randwick' 
 being chaired through the village on a wooden throne\, dunked in the villa
 ge pond\, and finally paraded to the churchyard where a giant Double Glouc
 ester cheese is rolled three times around the church.\n\nThe Wap processio
 n is fronted by the Wap Queen and morris dancers\; refreshments and stalls
  are set up in the churchyard. Free to attend. Dates derived from the recu
 rring pattern\; confirm with the Randwick Wap committee closer to the day.
