About
Stroud's annual fringe festival runs across the late August bank holiday weekend, taking over the Subscription Rooms, Lansdown Hall, the bandstand, half a dozen pubs and the streets in between. Most performances are free; pay-what-you-can headline sets at the larger venues.
The festival started in 2005 and is now one of the largest free arts festivals in the south-west, drawing 30,000 visitors to a town of 13,000.
