Unibet British Open Snooker 2026

Snooker's British Open comes back to the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse for a seven-day World Snooker Tour ranking event — best-of-the-world professionals, live coverage on Channel 5.

About

The Unibet British Open returns to Cheltenham Racecourse's Centaur arena from 31 August to 6 September 2026 — the fourth ranking event of the 2026–27 World Snooker Tour season, sandwiched between the Wuhan Open and the English Open. Shaun Murphy is defending champion, having beaten Anthony McGill 10–7 in the 2025 final.

The Centaur is set up in the round with a single show table for the finals stages; multi-table format earlier in the week. All sessions are televised live on Channel 5, and Cheltenham's town-centre bars fill up with players and fans between sessions.

Adult tickets from £18, under-16s from £8. Booking via World Snooker Tour and Racecourse box office.
