The Cotswold Sculpture Park at Somerford Keynes has a purpose-built amphitheatre handcrafted from local stone and set inside its woodland, and it hosts three summer touring theatre nights each year — two of them still to come in 2026.
Saturday 1 August: Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Governor's Nose, from local company Jenny Wren Productions — a family-friendly Holmes pastiche. £16 adults, £12 under-16s, under-5s free.
Thursday 20 August: The Comedy of Errors, performed by The Festival Players (Shakespeare touring specialists). £19.25 adults, £17.25 over-65s and under-16s, under-5s free.
Doors open at 5.30pm both evenings for a 6.30pm start. The Poppin tearoom on site opens for hot food before the show; a bar sells wine, beer and soft drinks. It's an outdoor venue open to the elements — bring layers, a cushion and a picnic blanket.
