About
Stanway's summer fete is held in the water gardens of Stanway House — the Earl of Wemyss's Jacobean manor on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment. A proper traditional afternoon of brass band, morris men, teas and cakes, ice creams, pork baps, stalls, games, raffle and the bar.
The distinctive draw is the 14th-century water garden's fountain — the tallest single-jet gravity-fed fountain in Europe — which is set running twice during the fete. Funds raised support the local school, churches and community groups.
Adults £3, children 16 and under free. Parking across five fields on site; signposted from the B4632 (via Stanton) or the B4077 (via Stanway).
