About
The Stroud Show has been a Five Valleys fixture for over 150 years — a proper country show squeezed into a single Saturday afternoon in Stratford Park, on the edge of the town centre. The 2026 edition runs 11.30am to 6pm on Saturday 18 July with 'Heritage' as its theme, foregrounding traditional crafts and demonstrations across the site.
The main arena carries the day's showpiece displays, with a bands stage, dog show, procession and Stroud Showcase running alongside. Round the perimeter: a horticulture tent, kids' entertainment and craft area, food and drink vendors, and dozens of stalls from local producers and community groups.
Family-run competitions include the traditional short story, cooking, craft and horticulture classes — plus the enduringly Stroud brick-and-rolling-pin throwing contests. Free entry; Stratford Park is signed from the A46 through the town.
