About
Bourton House Garden is a three-acre walled and terraced garden set around a Grade II* listed manor in the North Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill (not to be confused with Bourton-on-the-Water). Normally open only on weekdays through the summer, it opens for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 23 August 2026 from 10am to 5pm — a rare chance to visit at the peak of the herbaceous borders and the topiary theatre.
Nine additional private gardens across Bourton-on-the-Hill village open the same day, walkable between with a single ticket. Teas, coffees and homemade cakes served in the Old School Hall.
Admission £9 for adults, accompanied under-16s free. All proceeds to the NGS's nursing and health-charity beneficiaries. Parking on the village playing field.
